Beijing Bound**!!!

Man, I've been slacking on the blogging updates!! Apologies!

With a 10th place finish in Hamburg, I have finally met the Dutch NOC criteria for Beijing! That's right, Olympics, here I come!! How cool is that??!! I still need to get official approval for my spot, but it is looking positive! I'll let you know ASAP.

I'll post some more later, maybe a pic or two since I haven't done that in awhile!
Thanks for all the e-mails and posts!
Lisa

Lisa you are a stud! When your dad and coach told me I started to cry, I felt like it was me, I am more happy for you than you can imagine! We got a whole Big Island gonna be cheering for you in Beijing... they even like you better than our American gals, can't really blame them, you are too amazing! And you have the Lavaman thing going like you are a local here or something :)

Hi Lisa!

van harte gefeliciteerd! That's dutch and means congratulations!
You did it! Now it's up to the National Olympic Commitee, but they can refuse you, as mentioned in my e mail:
you are the 239th competitor for the Netherlands in Beijing now.
The biggest dutch olympic team ever.
You'll have to race of your life in Beijing. All the best with your preperation and are you also going to South Korea for acclimatisation like Sander is?

Wow Lisa - Congratulations! I am so happy for you! You are going to the Olympics!! You are an inspiration to me because you started out just like me (previous swimmer and age group triathlete) so I will aim for bigger and better things too!

Hi Lisa this is Ben van den Berg from Saskatoon, Can. I heard about your 9th place/ make that 10th wtf victory on Sunday morning. It was the first thing that I woke up to. My mother who is friends with your grandmother told me about it. Congrats. As for the rest of the day I decided to do a bike ride of my own to ad to the spirit of your jouney. I set out to do 100km but alas the road that I chose was rough and I bonked at 60 km in a cramping defeat but never the less it was awsome and it was for you. I pray for you on your quest and honour your commitment to represent the sport for Canada and The Nederlands.

Keep the rubber side down and may the wind be at your back as you fight for your possition as one of the greats in our sport.
